Southside School students placed in wrestling tournaments recently.
The Southside School Saints of the Month for September were chosen because they exhibit the highest level of good citizenship, academic standard, character and determination. The students understand and portray the qualities of a Southside Saint.
The officers were invited to attend the convention based upon their service project, new-student welcome committee, where Junior BETA members personally greet new incoming students and deliver a welcome kit complete with a Southside T-shirt and basic school supplies.
Southside School recently honored its Saints of the Month for April. Each month, a student from each grade level from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade is chosen based upon their outstanding character demonstrated in and out of the classroom.

Southside first baseman Olivia Guy, outfielder Kassey Brown and outfielder Logan Smith were honored this week at Southside School.
Neil Angell, Morgan Harlin, Brandon Kelley, Kinsey Keopf, Courtney Klaers, Madison McDonald, Kyle Pulley and Brooke Turner.
The group shared insights on high school with Southside eighth graders and paraded in front of younger students during the event.
Ely and Walker workers teamed up and braced the rain to beautify Southside Elementary School’s campus Friday and replant a tree and place a marker in memory of a former student.
Each month, one student from each grade level is chosen by their teachers to receive the honor for Saint of the Month because they exhibit good character qualities and responsibility as a student.
