A Knoxville man who was added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Top Ten Most Wanted fugitive list Thursday morning was captured in Ohio, just hours after being added to the list.
Tyler Ward Enix, 36, is the father of the subject of the AMBER Alert on Wednesday on behalf of the Knoxville Police Department for 2-year-old Brooklynne Emerie Enix.
A citizen in Morrow County, Ohio, heard the AMBER Alert on the radio and realized he was behind the vehicle referenced in the alert. The citizen called 911 and deputies with the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded and initiated a traffic stop.
Enix was taken into custody without incident. His 2-year-old daughter Brooklynne was recovered and is safe.
Brooklynne was last seen at her residence in Knoxville on Tuesday. Brooklynne's mother, Kimberly Enix, was discovered early Wednesday, murdered in that same residence.
Neighbors saw Tyler Enix driving away from the apartment in his wife’s car before she was discovered.
Enix was wanted by the Knoxville Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for first degree murder.
Tyler Ward Enix has previous arrests for domestic assault, false imprisonment, and aggravated assault.
