Wildcats reach state semifinals

Wilson Central’s Zach Linson picks up Tennessee’s Jeremy Spangler for a body slam in a 13-3 major decision at 182 pounds in the Wildcats’ 40-27 state semifinal win Friday at the Williamson County Ag Expo. Earlier, Central knocked off Knoxville Halls 48-25 and will face Soddy-Daisy at 1 p.m. today in the semifinals, with the finals set for 7 p.m.

“Really proud of the way the boys wrestled,” Wildcat coach John Kramer said. “We’ve made it to the semifinals for the fourth year in a row, and look forward to tomorrow and hope to be back in the finals.
