Tornado, flash flood watch issued for Wilson County

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Wilson County effective until 8 p.m. Friday. 

The threat includes the possibility of a few tornadoes, small, marble-sized hail and isolated wind gusts up to 70 mph. 

The National Weather Service also issued a flash flood watch for Wilson County effective until 7 a.m. Saturday.

Forecasters said heavy rainfall from Tropical Storm Cindy on Friday will create the potential for flash flooding. Additional rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches are possible Friday.
