Tornado watch issued for Wilson County until 9 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Wilson County until 9 p.m. Wednesday. The watch means there is a possibility of tornado formation. 

Thunderstorms will form along a cold front moving across the southeastern United States on Thursday afternoon, with some storms becoming supercells. Damaging gusts at up to 70 mph are likely. 

Tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds will be a concern throughout the afternoon and evening. The tornado watch area stretches from Kentucky to Alabama and includes all of Middle Tennessee.
