The luncheon is the annual spring fundraiser for Habitat. Cumberland University President Paul Stumb will be the guest speaker at the luncheon, which will also feature the story of one of the organization’s new homeowners.
“You will enjoy seeing the work of Habitat in Wilson County and the life-changing opportunities provided for the families we serve,” said executive director Tory Tredway.
Juannashia Keeley will speak about her experience and what it means to her and her two daughters.
“Her home was built last fall and was sponsored by Danny and Karen Dugan. Karen will be speaking about her experience as a house sponsor. That was the third consecutive year that the Dugans have sponsored a build and had their employees from North America Administrators come as volunteers,” said Tredway.
Three awards will also be presented at the luncheon. The Spirit of Volunteerism Award, Spirit of Habitat Award and Community Partnership Award will be given Wednesday to community partners of Habitat.
The event will be from noon-1 p.m., and registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Advance tickets are not required as there will be a request for financial support at the conclusion of the lunch, according to Tredway. Those attending are asked to RSVP to [email protected].
