Watertown reaches region final

GORDONSVILLE — Watertown overcame a nine-point deficit in the fourth game to finish off East Robertson 3-1 in the Region 4-A semifinal Tuesday night.

The Tigerettes faced host Gordonsville later Tuesday as both sought their first-ever region championship. Regardless, both will play in sectional action Thursday night - the winner at home against Columbia Academy and the loser at Sale Creek. First serve will be at 7 p.m. local time. Sale Creek, located just north of Chattanooga, is in the Eastern Time Zone, so that match will begin at 6 p.m. CDT.

Lebanon, Wilson Central bow out in 5-AAA

Wilson Central and host Lebanon lost 3-0 in the first round of the Region 5-AAA tournament Tuesday at Campbell Brandon Gym/Hester Gibbs Court.

The Lady Devils, coming off a District 9-AAA championship, finished a 24-5 season with the loss to Beech while the Lady Wildcats turned in a 14-15 final worksheet.

Station Camp defeated Central 25-11, 25-16, 25-20.

Emilee McDonald led the Lady Wildcats with 10 assists, two digs, an ace and a block while Nicole Brill finished with five kills, four digs and three blocks; Kathryn Bean four blocks, a dig and an ace; Hannah Potts four kills and three blocks, Sydney McClure three kills and a block, Hailey Hunter two digs and two assists, Grayce Guethlein eight digs, Mallory Weir two digs and Hope Davidson one dig.
