Wilson Central edges McGavock in five

GLADEVILLE — Wilson Central outlasted visiting McGavock 21-25, 25-19, 25-22, 24-26, 15-9 Monday night.

Emilee McDonald finished with 47 assists, nine digs, three aces, a kill and a block for the Lady Wildcats while Faith Moorhead spiked 17 kills, nine digs, two aces, two assists and a block; Grayce Guethlein eight digs, an ace, a kill and an assist; Nicole Brill five kills, three digs, three blocks and an ace; Kathryn Bean 11 kills, five blocks and four digs; Hannah Potts 10 kills, four digs and two blocks; Sydney McClure eight kills and three digs, Hailey Hunter six digs and three aces and Hope Davidson two digs and an ace as the Lady ‘Cats climbed to 8-6 for the season.

Central went 4-2 last weekend at the Rocky Top Classic in Gatlinburg.

The Lady Wildcats will play host to Stewarts Creek on Tuesday. The varsity will serve off at 6 p.m. after the junior varsity plays at 5.
