Lady Bear lead slips away

NASHVILLE — Mt. Juliet couldn’t hold a 2-0 lead in dropping a 20-25, 109-25, 25-9, 25-18, 15-12 decision at McGavock on Monday.

Carson Van Hoven, Madison Phillips and Keah Ellis each spiked seven kills for Mt. Juliet while Amber Ehrhart and Lindsay Merritt served up a pair of aces apiece. Madison Matthews totaled 21 digs, Ehrhart set up 15 assists and Ellis added five blocks as the Lady Bears fell to 5-7.

Mt. Juliet will play host to Wilson Central on Thursday.
