Staff Reports • Oct 4, 2017 at 5:30 PM

A semi truck overturned at exit 236 on I-40 westbound Wednesday afternoon around 5:20 p.m.

The driver of the truck was transported by ambulance to Tennova in noncritical condition.

The truck was hauling 31,000 pounds of frozen chickens. Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck.

Officials say less than 25 gallons of fluids covered the roadway, and oil dry and pads are taking care of the leaks.

Drivers should expect delays until the wreck is cleared. The shoulder of the on-ramp is open.
