Chloe Kohanski, 23, from Mt. Juliet, did not win her knockout round Monday night on NBC’s ‘The Voice’ but she remained on the show.

Kohanski sang ‘Landslide’ by Stevie Nicks as she competed against her Team Miley teammate Ashland Craft, who sang ‘Wanted Dead or Alive’ by Bon Jovi. Team coach, Miley Cyrus, chose Croft over Kohanski to stay on the show. Both Jennifer Hudson and Blake Shelton pushed their buzzer to steal Kohanski after Cyrus announced she picked Croft.

Chloe was then given the decision to pick from Shelton or Hudson for her new coach. She chose Shelton for a new coach, making her one of the top 24 contestants on the show. Kohanski will now advance to the playoff rounds.

“The fact that Chloe was available for a steal was shocking to me,” Shelton said.

Kelly Clarkson made a special appearance on the show as the superstar universal adviser.

“I know I wanted to be Chloe times 10. She was Ashland times 10,” Kohanski said during rehearsals with Clarkson.

Before the final phase of the show, the remaining 24 artists compete in the playoffs in hopes to secure a spot on the live shows. Coaches have the opportunity during the playoffs to bring back one artist eliminated during the knockout round.

During the live shows the top 12 artists compete each week for the votes of the audience instead of the coaches.

‘The Voice’ has won four Emmys for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program. Watch out for Kohanski’s next performance on ‘The Voice’ Mondays and Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on NBC.
