MJCA plays King’s to 4-4 draw

SEYMOUR — Mt. Juliet Christian and host King’s Academy played to a 4-4 tie Tuesday.

Logan Collier stopped a penalty kick among his 10 saves for the Saints, who rallied from behind three times.

Gabriel Vasconcelos scored twice while Issac Davey and David Salazar connected once each for the Saints. Trent Graves posted a pair of assists and Davey one.

“Great team effort,” Mt. Juliet Christian coach Justin Berry said after the Saints moved to 2-0-1 in the East-Middle District 1-A.

Mt. Juliet Christian will play at home against Greenbrier on Thursday.
