Storm deals damage, causes 911 outage

Heavy rain and wind blew through Wilson County on Saturday causing some downed trees, power outages and a hiccup in the Central Dispatch system.

The 911 outage was caused by an issue with AT&T and calls were rerouted to a cell phone while the issue was fixed, according to Lebanon police.

Alerts from emergency outlets said the storm could reach winds of 70 mph and hail was possible.

Electrical lines hit by the storm left some residents without power for a short time. Downed trees affected traffic in a few areas, but police received no reports of structural damage.
