UPDATE: Silver alert cancelled

Wilson County sheriff’s officials called off a silver alert early Friday morning after an elderly man reported missing Thursday evening was found safe and unharmed. 

The silver alert was cancelled at about 12:15 a.m.

Oscar Lee Allen, 78, was last seen Thursday around noon driving a 2008 Blue Hyundai Santa Fe near Gladeville. He was going to run some errands in Lebanon and Mt. Juliet.

Allen was also going to attempt to take his car through an emissions test station but never arrived.

Allen is a white man with brown eyes, gray hair, about 5-feet, 9-inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. Reports indicate he is wearing a blue sweater.
