Able to meet individually with each organization, a specially trained police officer will be available to consult with business owners, managers and church leaders about how to prevent and handle an active-shooter situation. Communities are on heightened alert after recent shootings across the nation, including one at an Antioch Church of Christ, and the officers are available to assist with emergency action plans and provide insight.
Mt. Juliet police offer a consultation that consists of a security assessment, walkthrough of the building and a presentation specifically designed for the individual organization. It also includes proper procedures on how to assist responding law enforcement in an active shooter situation.
Lebanon police offer free critical response and security training for all faith-based organizations. Officers will plan training with each facility at the facility as permitted by the organization’s schedule.
Organizations in Mt. Juliet interested in a consultation may visit mjpd.org to arrange a time through an online form. The form can be found under the services link.
