Sevierville man charged in Gatlinburg murder case

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents and Gatlinburg police charged a Sevierville man with killing a woman.

Gatlinburg police officers responded to a home in the 800 block of East Highland Drive on Wednesday where they found the body of Melinda Ruth Russell, 43, of Gatlinburg.

Scott Bradburn, 35, of Sevierville, was charged with first-degree murder after an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Russell’s death.

On Friday, agents secured a warrant and charged Bradburn with first-degree murder. He was served in the Sevier County Jail, where he was already held on unrelated charges.
