Wilson County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call from a home on Old Rome Pike on Wednesday night and found several items were stolen.

Homeowner Casey Davis said the items taken surprised her.

“It was pretty weird,” said Davis. “They had wrapped my son’s Playstation up and put it in a basket by the door. They took clothing; they took shoes. I had a little lockbox that had like some coins in it, and they took that, too.”

According to Wilson County sheriff’s Lt. Scott Moore, the deputy who responded found no signs of a forced entry.

“Well, I live in a trailer, so it’s not too hard to flip the lock with a credit card or something,” said Davis, “I mean, I lock my doors, and I check the windows, so I’m not careless.”

Extra patrol for the home and surrounding area was set up following the investigation.
