Tennova Healthcare-Lebanon and the Lebanon Special School District will hold a child and school health community event and teacher in-service Tuesday from 6:15-8:30 p.m. at Winfree Bryant Middle School.

The event will cover the required immunizations and Centers for Disease Control recommendations. The program will include a panel of local physicians and the Wilson County Health Department.

Event organizers said the event would be an opportunity for parents and teachers to learn about the requirements and recommendations for children and school health, including requirements from the Tennessee Department of Health.

The program will include pre-kindergarten and kindergarten requirements with Dr. Sam Orr with Children’s Clinic East; middle school requirements with Charles Jordan with Cumberland Pediatric Associates; higher education requirements with Sam Crutcher with Family Medical; HPV vaccines with Nancy Wozniak with Tennova Women’s Health; and new cases of preventable diseases with the Wilson County Health Department.

Tennova will provide light snacks, and childcare will be provided by the Family Resource Center.
