Tuesday’s round featured three weather stoppages because of lightning and torrential rain, pushing the round back several times after early tee times for all teams.
Reece moved up 20 spots with his even-par round, the second best score of the day. The Lebanon native tied for 20th overall with a two-day total of 150.
Daniel finished ninth overall, recording rounds of 72-74 for a two-day total of 146, while senior Austin Williams shot 75 in the second round after opening with even par, tying for fifth.
Senior Zach Polston registered a second-round 79 and sophomore Jacob Nolen posted his second straight 77, with both players tying for 35th.
Cumberland finished fifth as a team, seven strokes behind tournament champion Georgetown College, which erased a three stroke deficit after the opening round to win on its home course.
The Phoenix will play again Oct. 2-3 at the Skyhawk Fall Classic in Buchanan, Tenn.
