Wilson Central’s Adam Williams (89) made the cut as one of two semifinalists for the Mr. Football Kicker of the Year along with Siegel’s Jacob Smith. The field was trimmed from four to two Tuesday. The winner will be announced Nov. 28 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. Interestingly, Williams and Smith hooked up in Week 4 at WCHS with the Wildcats prevailing.

Wilson County’s other Mr. Football semifinalists did not make the cut to the finalists.

Watertown lineman Rusty Staats was beaten out in Class 2A by Marion County teammates Alex Kirkendoll and Hunter McClain. Purple Tiger quarterback Seth Price was edged out by Austin-East’s Darius Harper and Trezevant’s Cordarrian Richardson. Mt. Juliet’s D.J. Delfendaho lost out to Maryville’s T.D. Blackmon and Whitehaven’s Aubrey Miller for 6’A Lineman.
