WEMA plays host to medical countermeasures class

Members of local, state and federal emergency services and healthcare agencies recently attended an in-depth, two-day medical countermeasure class at Wilson Emergency Management Agency headquarters.

The Tennessee Department of Health-sponsored Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service class prepared the professionals with the tools to manage the response to a public health incident.

Topics included bioterrorism agents, points of dispensing mass prophlaxis, authorizations, emergency support functions and public health preparedness capabilities.
