Fully involved house fire in Mt. Juliet

Staff Reports • Oct 16, 2017 at 2:33 PM

Mt. Juliet firefighters were called to the scene of a house fire Monday afternoon at about 2:20 p.m. near Mt. Juliet High School.

The house is on Clyde Circle.

Mt. Juliet police Capt. Tyler Chandler advised citizens to avoid the area as officers closed the road to fight the fire.

A caller reported seeing smoke coming from the window of the kitchen area with nobody home.

Upon arrival, firefighters determined it to be fully-involved, meaning fire, heat and smoke in a structure are so widespread that internal access must wait until water streams can be applied.

Crews remained on the scene fighting the fire.

UPDATE: Clyde Circle reopened at about 6:05 p.m.
