Crews responded to the initial fire Sunday at about 11:27 p.m. The structure was about 75 percent involved, with heavy fire coming from the roof and out the windows, when firefighters arrived.
Crews managed to knock the fire down after about an hour, and they began searching for remaining hotspots.
No injuries were reported, and the fire cause and origin remain under investigation. Wilson County sheriff’s deputies and Rehab 23 volunteers also responded to the fire to lend support.
A second fire was reported Monday at about 4:25 a.m. Crews went back to the same home at 257 Vanderbilt Road.
On arrival, the house was fully involved due to rekindling. Crews had the fire knocked down after about 30 minutes, and they continued to search for any hotspots.
No injuries were reported in the second fire, and the cause and origin remain under investigation.
Wilson County sheriff’s deputies also responded to the second fire.
