Mount Olivet Baptist Church

Sept. 10

New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church

Homecoming will be celebrated Sunday at New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Lebanon. The 11:15 a.m. service guests will be Pastor Jerome Stewart and the congregation at Dickerson Chapel in Lebanon. The 3 p.m. service guests will be Pastor Lynn Herron and the congregation at Ransom Temple Church in Nashville. Lunch will be served. 


Lebanon Church of God 

The congregation at Lebanon Church of God will hold its 115th anniversary celebration Sunday with the theme, “Remember the Past and Stay Focused on Our Mission.” Services will be at 10:45 a.m. Guest speaker Elder George Bullock and the congregation at East Eighth Street Church of God in Columbia will be the special guests. Dinner will follow the morning service. 


Faith Lutheran Church

A suicide prevention prayer vigil will be Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church at 1655 W. Main St. in Lebanon. The day also marks the 15th annual World Suicide Prevention Day. The vigil is one in a number of efforts in Wilson County and Tennessee scheduled throughout the month to promote suicide prevention. 


Flat Rock Church of Christ

A gospel meeting will be Sunday at 11 a.m. and Monday through Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., featuring Edward L. West Hills Baptist Church

Sunday school begins each week at 9:15 a.m. for all ages at West Hills Baptist Church. During the Sunday morning worship time, West Hills also provides an opportunity for preschool-age children to experience a time of activity and Bible story each week, as well as KidsWorship for school-age children. On Sunday evenings at 5 p.m., West Hills has Bible drill for children, as well as adult discipleship classes, which vary according to topic. The evening service begins at 6 p.m. in the chapel. Rocky Valley Baptist Church

Worship services are each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. with Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. at Rocky Valley Baptist Church at 5745 Old Murfreesboro Road in Lebanon. Children’s church and nursery are provided during both worship hours. Lebanon native Jason Mull is the pastor. 


College Hills Church of Christ

Ministers will start a new message series called “Dear Church” as they look at love letters from Jesus on Sunday at College Hills Church of Christ in Lebanon. It will begin with a look at the letter to the church in Ephesus. The first worship service is at 8:45 a.m. in the auditorium with classes for all ages to follow.  The second service begins at 11 a.m. in the Witt Family Life Center.


Maple Hill Church of Christ

On Sunday, guest speaker Earl Lavender will speak on the subject, “At the Ready,” from Luke 17:20-33 at Maple Hill Church of Christ at 102 Maple Hill Road next to Publix. Worship service begins at 9 a.m., followed by Bible classes for all ages at 10:15 a.m.


Sept. 11-13

Dowell Chapel United Methodist Church

Revival will be Monday through Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Dowell Chapel United Methodist Church at 107 Linwood Road in Watertown. Bishop Jimmy Tyson with Rockvale Independent Original Church of God in Rockvale will be the nightly speaker. Terrance D. Davis Sr. is pastor of Dowell Chapel. 


Sept. 15-16

Fairview Church

The third annual Missions Market will be Sept. 15 from 2-8 p.m. and Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Fairview Church at 1660 Leeville Pike in Lebanon. Fairview Missions Market is a two-day local artisan craft and food event to support local and international missions trips through Fairview Church, while supporting the local businesses. The event will feature live music, food trucks and 50 vendor booths from local artists and farmers selling handmade crafts, goods or locally grown produce. Sept. 17

Hermitage Hills Baptist Church

A seminar on children and social media will be Sept. 17 from 12:30-2 p.m. at Hermitage Hills Baptist Church at 3475 Lebanon Pike in Hermitage. The seminar is free with registration and open to the public. Lunch and childcare will be provided. The deadline for registration is Sept. 11 at onrealm.org.


Oct. 6-7

St. Stephen Catholic Community

The Treasure Hunt will be Oct. 6 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Oct. 7 from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Community parish at 14544 Lebanon Road in Mt. Juliet. The yard sale is the largest fundraiser of the year, which benefits the parish and the many charities sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and Ladies Auxiliary. It will feature furniture, kitchen items, books, movies, household items, linens, holiday decorations, luggage, toys, clothes and all shoes will be $1 a pair. Lunch and homemade baked goods will also be available.


Oct. 14

Rocky Valley Baptist Church 

The annual fish fry will be Oct. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Rocky Valley Baptist Church at 5745 Old Murfreesboro Road in Lebanon. A gospel singing, featuring the Mercy Road Quartet will follow at 7 p.m. in the church auditorium. 


Nov. 4

Wilson County 44th annual Gospel Music Fest

The 44th annual Wilson County Gospel Music Fest will be Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Capitol Theatre in Lebanon. The event will feature Michael Helwig with the Blackwood Brothers, the Masters Four, Commonwealth Quartet, the Harmoneers and the Immanuel Baptist Church choir. Tickets are $15 each or $12 each for a group of four of more in advance. Tickets are available at Century 21 West Main Realty in Lebanon and at CedarStone Bank locations in Lebanon and Mt. Juliet. 


Nov. 10-11

Christ Church

First Presbyterian Church

Episcopal Church of the Epiphany

First United Methodist Church

Responding 12-Step Recovery

Responding 12-Step Recovery meetings will be each Monday at 7 p.m. The 12-step recovery program is Bible based and takes the traditional 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and looks at a biblical view of true recovery through the word of God. Covenant Fellowship Church of the Nazarene 

A free weekly divorce care seminar and support group designed to help divorced men and women will be Mondays from 6:30-8 p.m. through Nov. 14 at Covenant Fellowship Church of the Nazarene at 101 Faulkner Lane in Mt. Mount Olivet Baptist Church

Praise Team and Choir Rehearsal 

Westland United Methodist Church will hold weekly praise team rehearsal at 6:15 p.m., and chancel choir rehearsal at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday nights.


Youth Group

Westland United Methodist youth group will meet Sunday nights at 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
