5K to benefit Kenyan children

Runners are invited to take part in a run/walk Oct. 22 to benefit starving children.

The Church Missions Network will hold its 5K4K (5K for Kenya) race/walk to raise support for starving children in Kenya. More than 100 runners/walkers have registered to run the course that will wrap around Cumberland University. The course is 5K USATF certified.

The race will start and finish at Immanuel Baptist Church, and runners will receive T-shirts. Dri-fit T-shirts will be given to runners who register by Oct. 10. 

Timing will be done with Webscorer, and race times will be available online after the event.

The race begins at 8 a.m., and last-minute registration will start at 7:15 a.m. Registration is $25, and participants can register online by visiting the Church Missions Network Facebook page or at active.com.
