Dozens of locals turned out to attend the last Jammin’ with the General summer concert of the year on the square in Lebanon Thursday evening.

Four on the Floor took the stage at 7 p.m. and played a variety of covers of hit songs spanning different genres and decades.

Members of the band urged the crowd to get up and dance throughout the performance. At one point, the lead vocalist ventured out into the crowd to sing and dance with those in the front rows.

Several people arrived early to partake in a special shopping event that showcased the local businesses around the square preceding the concert.

Attendees were encouraged to be there early, bring lawn chairs and stake out a spot for the evening’s festivities.

Food trucks were on site to provide those on the square with dining options during the event.

Two other Jammin’ with the General concerts were held on the square earlier this summer, one in May and one in June. The events usually see a pretty good turnout, depending on the weather, Jennifer Folsom from the Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce said.

While there was no rain to speak of, the temperature was in the 90s as things kicked off at about 6 p.m., and in the high 80s by the time the music started.

Chamber officials said they were happy with the event and the lively crowd.
