SEEK students named top inventors

W.A. Wright Elementary School SEEK students participated in the Invention Convention on Feb. 22 at Middle Tennessee State University.

Fourth grader James Newell won the Eagle Award for spirit and innovative thought, which included one of only two $200 prizes given overall, for his forever energy project in the make life easier category. Fourth grader Kayla Smith won the State Farm Excellence Award for her breathe light project in the make life easier category. Fifth graders Brynlie Smith, Meagan Pollei and Sarah Davis also won the State Farm Excellence Award.
