Walter J. Baird Middle School holds National Geography Bee Contest

The geography bee at Walter J. Baird Middle School recently, at which students answered questions on geogr

aphy, was the first round in the 30th annual National Geographic Bee, a geography competition designed to inspire and reward students’ curiosity about the world. Kaven Hall, an eighth-grade student at Walter J. Baird, won the school competition and a chance at a $50,000 college scholarship.
