Seay fire science scholarship created

Students studying fire science at Volunteer State Community College can apply for a new scholarship. The James Edward Seay Jr. scholarship was recently created as an annual award for a full-time student studying fire science. 

Two awards will be made each year. 

Funds are provided by the James Edward Seay Jr. Foundation. James Seay served the Metro Nashville Fire Department for 34 years. He rose through the ranks to district fire chief of Engine 28.
