Three runners earn second team All-MSC accolades

Cumberland posted its best finishes at the conference championships – fourth for the men and fifth for the women – since the program was revived and Garang Madut, Riley Kilian and Claudia Tepox all earned second team All-Mid-South Conference honors, as announced by the league this past weekend.

Madut placed 13th at the Mid-South Conference Championships in Bowling Green, Ky., the highest career finish in the conference meet for the senior from Nashville. Kilian, a freshman from Cumberland Furnace, and Tepox, a sophomore from Nashville, recorded 13th and 14th-place finishes, respectively. Tepox clocked a career-best time of 19:58.2 on the 5K course and Kilian registered her best time (19.54.4) since the season-opening race in Memphis.
