Lebanon’s Kawasaki runs to victory at Dickson

DICKSON — Lebanon’s Caleb Kawasaki won the Dickson Invitational as the Blue Devils finished a close second last Saturday at Buckner Park.

Kawasaki broke the tape in 16:44.

As a team, Lebanon finished with 84 points, one behind first-place Rossview. Cookeville was close behind with 86.

Lebanon’s girls were sixth with 152 points. Brentwood won with 24.

Ethan Njezic was 14th for the Blue Devils in 18:17 while Jacob Andrews was 16th in 18:28, Chance Lindsey 26th in 18:58, Noah Chance 27th in 19:00, David O’Hanlon 36th in 19:22 and Devin Cole 37th in 19:30.

India Mastin led the Lady Devils with a 22nd-place finish in 23:19. Maddie Martin was 27th in 23:38, Allie Dozier 28th in 23:44, Brianna Garza 37th in 25:12, Madeline Walker 38th in 25:34, Abby Chance 44th in 25:55 and Chance Reasonover 45th in 25:57.

In the girls’ junior-varsity race, Lebanon’s Kayla Egolf finished in 27:01. For the boys, Omar Lopez ran a 23:01 and Kolbe Burnett a 25:25.

LHS’ team will have a spirit night at the Lebanon Zaxby’s from 4-8 p.m. next Monday. The next meet will be the Burnett Invitational at Cookeville on Oct. 1.
