GladeFest promises fun for the whole family

GladeFest 2016 will feature activities and events geared toward providing an entertaining experience for local families.

The annual fall event will include a car show, inflatables for children, concessions, pony rides, carnival games, a 5K run, vendor booths and more.

This year, the event takes place throughout the Gladeville community Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The Glade Church will have an entertainment stage, quilt show in the grand foyer, Charis Health Center, Faith Riders Motorcycle Ministry and vendor booths.

Gladeville Church of Christ will hold an antique car show. Registration is 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., and awards will be presented at 2:30 p.m.

The Gladeville Community Center will have breakfast by Chick-fil-A at 8 a.m., a cakewalk, carnival games and vendor booths.

Wilson Bank & Trust in Gladeville will have free inflatables, an art contest/display inside the branch location, a school bank booth and Kona Ice. Walgreens will also have a free photo booth inside the branch.

Gladeville United Methodist Church will have pony rides and a barbecue lunch. The lunch is from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. for $8 per adult plate and $5 per child’s plate, and features a barbecue plate or nachos with a free drink and dessert with purchase.
