For the second year, Premier Orthopedics and Sports Medicine sponsored the Music City Star to take runners to and from the St. Jude Nashville Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon.

All proceeds from the $12-per-rider ticket sales benefited St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Premier Orthopedics presented St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with a check for this year’s donation that totaled $2,369.68.

“We are so fortunate to have a good working relationship between the county, RTA, St. Jude and Premier Orthopedics,” said Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto. “The sponsoring of the train and the train ticket sales for the marathon make it possible for this donation to be made without the use of county taxpayer dollars. So many children will benefit from this donation, and I truly appreciate Premier’s commitment and generosity to this cause. I’d also like to thank everyone who rode the train that day. Your donation is appreciated.”
