Cure For Our Friends Golf Tournament set for April 22

The fourth annual golf tournament held by Cure For Our Friends, an organization that helps local families affected by cystic fibrosis, will be held April 22 at Windtree Golf Club, 810 Nonaville Road in Mt. Juliet.

Former NFL players will participate, including Paul Guidry, Randy Fuller, Kevin Dyson, Derrick Mason and Eddie Khayat. The Nashville Predators Ice Girls will be on the course with refreshments.

Golfers can choose one of two tee times, with shotgun starts scheduled for 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. A preferred time is chosen during registration. Golfers may also choose to register for both times. The format is a four-person scramble.

Prizes are planned on nine of the 18 holes, as well as lots of fun, food and surprises on the course.

Registration is $125 for individuals and $500 for teams of four. Forms to register may be found online at cureforourfriends.org. Players and teams may choose online or traditional registration. 

The cost of registration includes lunch for morning players and dinner for afternoon players.

All participants are encouraged to attend the after party, which is scheduled for 6 p.m., after the second round of golf ends. The event will be catered by Courtney’s and live entertainment will be provided by The Skahls, Sam the Balloon Man and LaRoo and Nash.

The after party will also feature a silent auction with a variety of items up for bid, as well as face painting and hoola-hooping.
