MJ boys hand Lebanon first loss, Lady Devils roll to 8-0

HERMITAGE — Lebanon’s undefeated girls rolled to their eighth win of the season, 25-2 over host Mt. Juliet, Wednesday at Hermitage Strike & Spare.

Mt. Juliet’s boys handed the Blue Devils their first loss of the season 18-9.

Lindsay Manning led the Lady Devils with high games of 243, 196 and 223 while Hattie Isham scored 188 and 175, Kaitlyn Dedman 182 and 170 and Hayli Stewart 182.

The Golden Bears prevailed despite a near-perfect game from defending state individual champion, Tyler Moore, who turned in a 297. He finished the day with Lebanon’s first-ever 800 series as he added 29 and 258 scores. Ethan Smiley rolled a 215 and 212 while Hunter Fugate finished with a 202 as LHS slipped to 7-1.

Despite the boys’ loss, both Lebanon teams reached the halfway point of the regular season leading the District 12 standings.

Lebanon will travel to Hendersonville Strike & Spare on Monday for a 3:30 p.m. match against Merrol Hyde.
