Blue Devils turn back Wilson Central

GLADEVILLE — Lebanon’s boys bolted to an early lead and held off host Wilson Central for a 44-33 win Thursday night.

The Blue Devils were up 18-6 following the first quarter, 24-18 at halftime and 32-28 through three as they improved to 4-1.

Polo Phillips fired in 15 points and David Greene 14 for Lebanon while Gaven Reasonover’s eight included 6-of-6 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter. Jeremiah Hastings hit a three-pointer and Dawson Allen and Edmund Stewart two apiece.

Caleb Lawrence connected on three 3-pointers in leading Wilson Central with 15 points while twin brother Jared threw in 13. Caleb Brown had three points and Joe Meadows two.

Lebanon will face Ravenwood at 3 p.m. next Friday in the LaVergne Christmas Tournament.
