Halloween on Square set for Monday

The annual Halloween on the Square event is set for Monday from 5-8:30 p.m. and will feature a ghoul parade and costume contest.

The event, conducted by the City of Lebanon, Lebanon–Wilson County Chamber of Commerce and First Baptist Church, will include candy stations, a balloon man, games, inflatables, free hotdogs grilled by Public Safety officers and more.

WSMV Channel 4’s personable penguin “Snowbird” will fly in at 5:30 p.m. and fly out at 7:30 p.m. for the event.

Audience of One Production will lead the Ghoul Parade and costume contest starting at 6 p.m. Costume contest contestants will be judged during the parade. Contestants will be divided into 3 age groups: 10 and under, 11-17, 18 and over.

Three winners in each age category will receive prizes. The “Ghoul of the Night” will be awarded $100 cash sponsored by Michael’s Cover Up.

Registration for the Ghoul Parade and Costume Contest will be from 5-6 p.m. and located north of The Square by Burger King.

Audience of One Production will perform a musical portion of “A Christmas Carol” at 7 p.m. Stage and music presented by Hawks Specialty.
