Postal carrier killed in crash

A head-on collision Friday afternoon resulted in the death of a Wilson County postal carrier.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said two cars were involved in the crash and one person was killed on Walter Morris Road at Conaster Road.

Few details were released Friday night by the THP.

"Preliminary information indicates the crash was a head-on collision in a curve," said THP spokeswoman Dalya J. Qualls.

Wilson County Sheriff Robert Bryan said the other person involved in the crash was a relative of his, so he allowed highway patrolmen handle the details.

"The THP worked it with their traffic investigation team," Bryan said. "I'm going to let them handle it."
