Turkey talk: The Cedar Roost Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Foundation will hold a banquet/fundraiser on March 1. Contact club president Jimmy Sloan at Lebanon’s Tractor Supply for details.

The club supports such worthwhile causes as Wounded Warrior hunts and Hunter Safety Courses, and promotes the sport of turkey hunting.

Hunter input invited: The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency invites hunters to submit advice and ideas about the 2013-14 hunting seasons, and Feb. 25 is the deadline.

E-mails should include “Hunting Season Comments” on the subject line.

The TWRA and the Wildlife Commission takes the comments into consideration when determining this fall’s hunting seasons and regulations.

Trap shoot: Ray Hutcheson won the weekly Cedar City Gun Club trap shoot, breaking 46 of 50 targets. Ray Robinson was second with 43.

Justin Cooper took Class B with 33, Maisie Lannon won the Ladies event with 32 and Boone Barnett was top  Junior with 29.

Licenses expire: Hunters and fishermen are reminded that their licenses expire Feb. 28.

They can be renewed on-line on the TWRA website (tnwildlife.org) or purchased at most outdoor outlets.
