Rhonda B. Burkett

Rhonda B. Burkett, age 55 of Murfreesboro passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ronald Burkett; maternal grandfather, William Floyd Wooden; paternal grandparents, William and Callie Burkett; and nephew Benjamin Burkett.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Ricker; mother, Lola (David) Mann; grandmother, Frankie Hendrixson; brothers, Mark Burkett and William “Vim” Burkett; sister, Suzanne (Doug) Minert; step-sisters, Terri (Bill) Mann and Robin (Claude) Jacobs; nephews, Tyler, Wade, Andrew, and Josh Minert; and Tell (Angela) Burkett.
Rhonda was a graduate of Lebanon High School and Middle Tennessee State University. She was a retired engineer from Bridgestone and a member of Gladeville Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Gladeville Baptist Church with visitation from noon until the service. Bro. Bruce Grubbs will officiate. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers.

Olene Moss Smith

Olene Moss Smith, 85, of the Statesville community, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
She was the daughter of the late Herman and Baird Bryan Moss and was preceded in death by her husband, Frank B. Smith; daughter, Linda Pruitte; grandson, Tony Harris; sister, Irene Gulley and brothers, Edward, Roy, Boyd, Arkley, Bert and Herman Moss, Jr.
Olene is survived by her son, Jack (Cindy) Lackey of Lebanon; daughter, Brenda Minchey of Gallatin; grandchildren, Shane, Todd, Mike and Josh Lackey, Melody Byrd, Lachelle Burton, Donna Mofield, Dana Mellott and Will Laws; 14 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lorene (Jim) Strasser and Elise Winfrey; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Sellars and the Rev. Steve Mayle officiating.
Visitation is from 1-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until the service time on Saturday. Interment at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
