Ret. Col. Dennie Lee Denson
Ret. Col. Dennie Lee Denson, age 66, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7 in St. Thomas Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alex Leo amd Winnie Florence Pippin Denson; brother, James ”Bill” Denson; sisters, Jo Mae Allen and Elene Marks.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marlene Denson; daughters, Sharon Hudson-Douglas and Andrea Cox; grandchildren, Daniel A. Hudson, James A. Hudson, Hannah Stinnett, and Carson Cox; brother, A.C. Denson; sister, Edna Jean Cox.
Col. Denson was a graduate of Cumberland University, retired 41 years from the Tennessee Army National Guard and was awarded the Legion of Merit, Tennessee Distinguished Service Metal and numerous other awards.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 4-8 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1003 Hickory Hill Lane, Hermitage, TN 37076, with visitation at the church from 10-11 a.m. Pastor Keith Enko will officiate the services. Interment will follow in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens in Mt. Juliet.
Honorary pallbearers are his friends who are members and retirees of the Tennessee Army National Guard and Billy Jones, Andy Harper, Dan Stewart, Alton Driver and George Hawkins.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Educational Fund.

Donald Ray Mitchell
Don Mitchell, 73, of Watertown, died Sunday.
Services are Sunday at 3 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon. Interment will follow in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Saturday from 2-8 p.m.
