James Earl Mangrum

Services for Mr. Mangrum will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at Hermitage Funeral Home with Bro. August Ruff and Don McAllister officiating. Interment in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday, July 6 and 10 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Mangrum, 78, of Mt. Juliet, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012. He entered the Army at age 18, earning the rank of Sergeant in the 40th Infantry Division during the Korean War. He retired from Ford Glass Plant after 30 years of service to devote his life to missionary work, including 65 mission trips to Honduras and 39 trips to other countries. He was a member of Hermitage Church of Christ and helped deliver food for Meals on Wheels.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Bertrand and Audrey Mangrum; first wife and mother of his children, Elizabeth Mangrum; stepdaughter, Carolyn Chandler; and sister, Betty O'Neil.

Survivors include: wife, Jean J. Mangrum; daughters, Mary M. (Tommy) Bennett and Linda M. White; stepdaughter, Jean Claire Chandler; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brothers, John (Nancy) and Charles (Juanita) Mangrum.

Edward 'Bo' McPeak

Services for Mr. McPeak will be 4 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at Partlow Funeral Chapel. Interment with Military Honors in Caraway Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday, July 6 and 10 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. McPeak, 89, died Wednesday July 4, 2012 at Summit Medical Center. He was a WWII Army/Air Force veteran, and self-employed as an electrician, plumber and farmer.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Elwood and Zelma McPeak; wife, Adelaide McPeak; son, Donald Eugene McPeak.

Survivors include: sons, Michael (Wanda), Larry, Kenneth and Bobby McPeak; daughters, Linda (Buford) Kee, Judy (James) Dodd and Karen Baker; sister, Anita Cox; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and a nephew.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Roger McKinney, Dr. Robert Woods, Bob Rochelle and David Denney.
