Ray Richard McNew

Funeral Services for Mr. McNew will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet with Bro. Jack Lewis and Larry Addison officiating. Interment with full Military Honors at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday, July 29 and 9 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. McNew, 76, of Mt. Juliet, formerly of Carterville, Ill., died Friday, July 27, 2012. He attended Tulip Grove Baptist Church. He spent nine years in the United States Air Force as a weatherman and 11 years in the Army, retiring as a highly decorated CW3. He also was employed for 20 years with flight services at Nashville International Airport.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Arthur and Emma Griffith McNew; and six siblings.

Survivors include: wife of 57 years, Doris Addison McNew; children, Richard (Jeanelle) McNew, Teresa McNew, Rita (Gary) Malugin and Thomas (Crystal) McNew; brother, Donald McNew; grandchildren, Jennifer Iddings, Melissa Carrier, Stephen Foster, Tiffany Brown, Tiffany Fox, Rebecca Tomlinson, Hillary Malugin, Elizabeth Usmiller and Hailey Malugin; great-grandchildren, Christopher Messick, Nathan McNew, Jarred Messick, Nicholas Iddings, Ashley Foster, Kayleigh Foster, Dalton Tomlinson, Gibson Fox, Teagan Brown, and Dean Fox.
