Retired Col. Ervin C. Manning

Graveside services with military honors will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens in Lebanon. Dr. Larry Locke will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel.

Col. Manning, 80, passed away Oct. 17, 2012 in Adams Place in Murfreesboro, Tenn. He was born Jan. 17, 1932 to E.T and Annie Thorne Manning. Col. Manning was a native of Lebanon and a 1950 graduate of Lebanon High School and graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. He was a pilot in the United States Air Force and a Vietnam veteran.

He and his family lived in Warner Robins, Ga. for 29 years and he was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church of Warner Robins. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro and the Adventurers Sunday School Class, and a member of the Walking Eagle Coffee Club. Col. Manning was a life member of the Order of Daedalians, Military Officers Association and the Murfreesboro Noon Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sally Marcelino Manning; and brother, Carl Manning.

Survivors include his daughters, Dena (Dru) Anderson of Murfreesboro and Dr. Diane Pennington (Peter) Mimick of St. Mary’s, Ga.; sisters, Harriett Manning and Lois Fuller, both of Lebanon; grandchildren, Ashley and Alex Anderson, Lydia Pennington and Matthew Mimick.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Lynn Nokes

Services for Ms. Nokes will be Sunday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem United Methodist Church. The Rev. Danny Sellars will officiate.

Ms. Nokes, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012.

She is survived by brother, Jimmy (Linda) Nokes; Terry Jeanne Harris and other family members; special sisters Delores Crooks, Kay Talley, Anita Beatty, Joyce Rodgers, Trish Dorris; special brothers, Doug Raines, John Robinson and Louis Thompson.

Family requests donations be made to Lupus Foundation, 407 Hillsboro Pike, Suite 216B, Nashville, TN 37215. Hermitage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jesse  “J.C.” Robertson Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Roberts conducted by Brother Floyd Farris, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon (at Stone Mansion, 416 Rome Pike) on Friday from 2-8 p.m. and on Saturday from noon until the service.

Mr. Robertson passed away on Oct. 17, 2012 at age 71. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon (at Stone Mansion, 416 Rome Pike) on Friday from 2-8 p.m. and on Saturday from noon until the service.

He was preceded in death by father, Elmer “Bud” Robertson, brother, Thomas Robertson and Billy Robertson, and sister, Carol Sue Bowman.

Survivors include wife of 50 years, Barbara Robertson; children, Regina (Mike) Stockman and Jesse (Kim) Robertson Jr.; mother, Betty Kelley; siblings, Ray (Sue) Robertson, Betty (Bill) Sellers, Patricia (Ray) Fleming, Peggy Gray, Glenda Ramsey, Jenny Huddleston, Donna Givens, Buddy Robertson, and Mark Robertson; grandchildren, Amber Celeste Rollins, Paden Robertson, and Brooks Robertson; and several nieces and nephews.

Dress for the visitation and service is casual. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Thank you to the staff of Summit Medical Center, Odyssey Hospice, and Dr. Raefsky and the staff of Tennessee Oncology.

Charles J. Sircy

Funeral services for Mr. Sircy are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home with Elder Kenneth Summers officiating. Interment will follow at Hillsdale Cemetery in Macon County.  Visitation is Friday from 2-7 p.m. and Saturday after 9 a.m.

Mr. Sircy, age 79, of Lebanon, passed away at Alive Hospice at Skyline Medical Center in Madison.

Born July 15, 1933, in Jackson County, Tenn., he is the son of the late Luke and Alice Stubblefield Sircy. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a retired mechanic. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Gammons Sircy; daughter, Barbara Reid; two brothers, Everett and James Sircy; three sisters, Madaleen Sircy, Molene Sircy and Gelamer McClanahan.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and David Eller, of Hartsville; two brothers, Paul (Shirley) Sircy, of Lebanon; Frank (Inez) Sircy, of Hartsville; two sisters, Naomi (James) Watson, of Gallatin, Myrtle Lee Page, of Lebanon; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and caregiver, Carolyn Hughes.

Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home of Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.

Linda Gail Wise

Funeral services for Mrs. Wise will be Monday, Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. at Sellars Funeral Home in Mt. Juliet. Interment will follow in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, Oct. 21 from 2-8 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Wise, 64, of Mt Juliet, passed away Oct. 17, 2012.

Mrs. Wise was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby Miranda Kincanon and Woodrow Wilson Kincanon; sister, Bonnie Kincanon; and brother, Geri Kincanon.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Earl Wise; children, Joseph E. Wise, Steven K. Wise, Sandra G. Wise and Angela C. Brate; grandchildren, Amanda Washburn, Rebecca Boatwright, Tom Wise, Tabitha Gribbins, Cade Sharpe, Lindy Mikalauskas, Haley Brown, Aly and Hannah Brate and Tommy Hubbard; great-grandchildren, Morgan Washburn, Skye Boatwright, Isiaih Manning, and Emerson and Joshua Hubbard; brothers, Bobby Kincanon, Daryl Nivens, Larry Nivens, and Billy Nivens; and sister, Debbie Kincanon.

Vicki Wright Wade

Funeral service for Mrs. Wade will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Nicky Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenbrier Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from noon until the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wade, 53, of Murfreesboro, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012. She was a native of Wilson County. Mrs. Wade was a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ. She was a 1977 graduate of Watertown High School and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from MTSU.  She taught in the Wilson County and Murfreesboro City School Systems for 27 years.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Wade; daughter, Brooke (Tyler) Mullican of Ashland City; parents, Jackie and Delores Simpson Wright of Watertown; brother, Todd Louis (Kim) Wright of Lebanon; father-in-law, Grover Wade of Greenbrier; sister-in-law, Anita Wade (Spencer) Searcy of Greenbrier; nephew, Wade Searcy of Greenbrier; nieces, Kasey and Hanna Wright of Lebanon and Suzanne Searcy of  Greenbrier.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Mullican, Spencer Searcy, Steve Hurt, Nicky Dorris, Dennis Wade and Jason Cripps.
