McClain boys roll to 11th win in last 12 games

From staff reports

MURFREESBORO — McClain Christian's boys beat Holloway 63-52 Tuesday night for the Bulldogs' 11th win in their last 12 games.

Brandon Fox's 24 points and eight rebounds helped McClain climb to 11-6 for the season. Cameron Harris had 12 points as the Bulldogs had 18 steals.

"We started a little rough," McClain coach Tony McLeod said. "But our defense picked up, which in turn helped our offense out.

"Evan Tubb's energy and rebounding when he came in was a big part of that."

McClain's girls won by forfeit.

Both MCA teams will play at Immanuel Baptist Church tonight against Providence Christian.
