With votes, Ava's Splash Pad can become reality
Little Ava Shaye Bright loved nothing more than to splash. She didn't care if it was a fancy pool, at the shores of a lake or in puddles of rain.
Her mother, Krista Bright, said Ava did a lot of splashing in her short two years of life, and the memories of her little girl finding such fun with water spurred her mission to make a legacy for her daughter. She wants to bring the same enjoyment to people in the community.
Community can 'vote' for remaining funds
Now, the community has a chance to put the project over the top. Ava's Splash Pad project is one of two finalists in a contest to win a grant that will provide the final funding to build it.
Please click here to vote for this community park and make it a reality, said City Manager Kenneth Martin.
