First fish of the year is always special
The First Fish of 2013 has been officially hooked and landed.
It wasn’t much to brag about – a 10-inch white bass (stripe) – but it put up a spirited fight as it splashed on the surface, and some of its bigger scaly brethren would soon join it in the ice chest.
My fishing buddy Bob Sherborne and I recently took advantage of a mild, high-50’s day to make our first angling excursion of the year. We fished a two-mile stretch of the Cumberland River below Cheatham Dam.
