Crash closes Interstate
A crash involving a tractor-trailer shut down part of Interstate 40 eastbound Wednesday.
According to police, a tractor-trailer, driven by Wendell Cooper, 48, of Nolensville, overturned on the interstate near the Highway 109 exit just before 4:15 a.m.
The truck was moved to the side of the Interstate to allow rush-hour traffic to pass, but the Interstate was shut down afterwards between exits 232 and 235 to allow Tennessee Department of Transportation workers to clear the wreckage.
The driver sustained minor injuries, according to police.
