Last-minute tickets available for Watertown concert
Last-minute tickets are still available for a concert featuring country artist Bucky Covington in Saturday’s concert at Watertown’s Stardust Drive-In Theatre that will feature familiar country hits, as well as songs from Covington’s latest album, “Good Guys.”
Covington was an American Idol finalist in 2006 and became country music’s best-selling debut artist in 2007 with his song “A Different World.”
The concert, which is being offered by the Middle Tennessee organization Music With a Purpose, will benefit the Mt. Juliet Help Center and the Bridge Fellowship.
“Our goal is to sell 2,000 tickets,” said Jeremy Hayes, president of Music With a Purpose.
“The team at Music With a Purpose hopes that this concert will go a long way in helping provide revenue for people working to make our community a better place to live,” said Hayes.
Gates will open at 10 a.m., and Alicia Smith will take the stage at noon. Josh Mirenda will immediately follow Smith and Covington will perform last.
Fans can buy tickets online at musicwithapurpose.com, through Middle Tennessee State University’s Up ‘Til Dawn student group or at The Lebanon Democrat’s office.
Anyone buying tickets online can enter the code MJPARKS for $5 of each ticket to go toward the Mt. Juliet Parks and Recreation department.
Tickets are $15, and children ages 12 and under will be admitted free with a parent’s paid ticket. Tickets will also be available at the gate.
A 50-50 drawing will be held at the concert, and all proceeds from the drawing will be given to a Watertown family whose home was recently destroyed by a fire.
