UPDATE: Victim flown to hospital after wreck

A Lebanon man was flown by helicopter to a Nashville hospital on Saturday night after a single-vehicle wreck.

Wilson County Emergency Management Agency Director John Jewell said the wreck happened near 1975 Lebanon Road at about 11:09 p.m. He said the wreck happened between the Leilani Hills subdivision and Bethlehem Road.

Lebanon Officer Wayne Howard said Billy Bilbrey, 43, driving a 1993 Honda Accord eastbound on Lebanon Road when the car went off the road for unknown reasons. Howard said Monday morning he has yet to interview Bilbrey, but ruled out alcohol as a factor on the scene.

Jewell said Bilbrey was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Vanderbilt Hospital by Lifeflight helicopter due to a serious head injury. Howard said Bilbrey broke both his arms.
